About Me

I am a highly motivated and passionate computer science graduate with a strong foundation in software development and a keen interest in leveraging technology to solve real-world problems. Equipped with a solid academic background and practical experience gained through internships and projects, I am eager to embark on a fulfilling career in the field.

My Story

I developed a passion for coding when I was in the 5th grade. That is when I learnt my first "Hello World" in BASIC. In 7th grade, we were taught HTML at school and that is how I knew I wanted to be a software developer. I participated and won cyber olympiads in my school for straight 4 years. I loved making the computer do whatever I wanted, it was almost like magic to me. I wanted to learn to code further. I was thrilled when I got selected to participate in the Computer Science bootcamp at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur in 8th grade. Learning college level coding as a high school student made my foundation in this field which I never imagined as a kid. I then went on to pursue my Bachelor's in Computer Science Engineering where I gained more practical experience through industry level projects. Currently, I am a graduate student at the University of Houston - Clear Lake pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science. My areas of interest include Artificial Intelligence, Software Development and Game Programming among many others. Having completed a couple of relevant internships, I have gained invaluable hands-on experience in these fields. I would like to continue to build upon these skills gained and utilize them to contribute to the benefit of the community as well as the organization I will be a part of. I am very fascinated by the evolving technologies in the world today and will always be very enthusiastic about learning about the latest inventions. I love learning and I am constantly Experienceing on myself to gain new skills and expertise.

Projects

PolyA Explorer
Poly(A)-Xplorer allows the user to query their favorite genes of interest and appreciate the gene’s relevance to alternative polyadenylation (APA). The idea of this project is to build a visualization tool which graphically shows a part of the genome.

Reading Speed Test App - iOS
Developed a Swift-based iOS app to measure reading speed with a 95% success rate. Integrated Firebase authentication for secure login across platforms, increasing user retention by 15%. Achieved compatibility with both iPhone and iPad, reducing the crash rate by 20%.
